Kristína joined the team in 2018 and focuses on the genomics of archamoebae and euglenids. She is our expert in bioinformatics.

Kevin joined the team in 2018. He works on evolution of protein import but also makes beautiful images from expansion microscopy of our protists.

Priscilla joined the team in 2018 and her main interest is to reveal the mechanism of iron-sulphur assembly in amitochondriate oxymonads but she is also working on spatial proteomics of euglena. She is our expert in cell biology and protein work.

Anežka joined our team in 2021 and her project focuses on the import of proteins into Euglena gracilis plastids.

Jirka joined our team as PhD student in 2022. He focuses on Metabarcoding of intestinal and soil protists.

Káťa joined our team in 2023. She focuses on the metabarcoding of protists in the guts of beavers.

Jonáš joined our team in 2023 and his thesis focuses on the biogenesis of the secondary plastid of Euglena gracilis.

Eva just rejoined our team after maternity leave in 2023 and she is helping to run the lab.

Justyna left our team in 2023 for maternity leave.

Petra left our team in 2022 and works in private business.

Ezra left our lab in 2023 after finishing her masters.

Sebastian left our lab in 2023 and currently works in the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology in Marburg, Germany.

Petr left the team in 2023 after finishing his PhD. Currently works in the Institute of Physics, CAS.

Adam left our team in 2022 and currently works at the Masaryk Water Research Institute.

Left our lab in 2023 and currently works at the University of California, San Diego.

Aaron left our team in 2022 and he currently works at the Kyungpook National University.

Alejandro left our team in 2021 and he currently works at the Uppsala University.

Lucia left our team in 2021 for maternity leave.

Štěpánka finished her PhD in 2020 and she continues to work as a head of genomic laboratory in BIOCEV.

Vojta finished his PhD in 2020 and he now works as a postdoc in the laboratory of Jan Dvořák in the Czech University of Life Sciences.

Honza left the team in 2019 and currently he works as a postdoc in the laboratory of Ross Waller at the University of Cambridge.

Zuzana Vaitová left the team in 2019 and she currently works in IOCB Prague.

Aneta finished her masters in 2020 and she currently studies her PhD in the laboratory of Ivan Čepička, Faculty of Science, Charles University.

Maruška finished her MSc in 2019 and she currently studies her PhD in the laboratory of Vladimír Varga in IMG, Prague.

Lukáš finished his PhD in 2020 and currently works as postdoc in the laboratory of David Moreira, Université Paris-Saclay.

Anna finished her PhD in 2019. In 2020 she started her postdoc in the laboratory of Richard Dorrell.

Martina finished in 2019. She studied the ploidies and karyotypes of oxymonads using FISH techniques.

Naoji joined the team in 2015. He was working on the origin(s) of the euglenid plastid as inferred from the transcriptome and the genome of a mixotrophic euglenophyte Rapaza viridis.

Soňa joined the team in 2013 and graduated in 2016. She focused on diversity of pyramimonadales algae and evolution of euglenid plastid.

Anna started her postdoc in 2013, she focused on genomics of oxymonads and trimastix. She left our team at the end of 2015 to continue her postdoc and later started her own lab in Warsaw.

Jana finished her PhD in 2014, her focus was the evolution of derived form of methionin adenosyltransferase (MATX) in euglenids.
